The Two Staten Island Chiropractic Branches

One of the five boroughs within New York City, USA, Staten Island is a true melting pot of all the different people and cultures it is home to. You can find people of all nationalities and cultures living in complete acceptance of and peace with each other. A lot of intermingling and exchange of culture takes place between them. This is how different Asian and Oriental methods of alternative or complementary treatment got introduced and accepted by everyone here. These methods of treatments include Siddha medicine, Yoga, Homeopathy, Osteopathy, and energy healing. Staten Island chiropractic techniques were introduced in the 1980s by D.D.Palmer and his son B.J.Palmer.

In Staten Island Chiropractic techniques deal with overhauling the lives of patients rather than just locally treating ailments related to the musculoskeletal system. Its belief system is rooted in homeostasis, which means that it falls back on the body’s inherent automatic healing ability. There are two methods of chiropractic types of chiropractic practitioners, the straights and the mixers.  Like the names suggest, the Straights are old school and tend to stick by the rules set by D.D.Palmer for complete healing. The mixers tend to merge chiropractic techniques with those of mainstream medicine to produce what they believe are powerful and more effective results. Both strams have their ardent followers and therefore thrive together in peace.
